Job Description: Commercial Roofer Laborer

Position Overview:

As a Commercial Roofer Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our roofing team in various aspects of commercial roofing projects. You will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofs while adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring high-quality workmanship. This position requires physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in Roofing Projects: Work alongside experienced roofers to complete roofing projects efficiently and effectively. This includes tasks such as material handling, equipment setup, and clean-up.
• Material Preparation: Prepare roofing materials by measuring, cutting, and organizing them for installation. This may involve using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as required.
• Site Preparation: Help prepare the work area for roofing projects. This may include removing debris, setting up safety equipment, and protecting surrounding structures or land scaping.
• Installation Assistance: Assist in the installation of roofing materials, such as membranes, insulation, shingles, or metal panels. Follow instructions from experienced roofers and work diligently to ensure accurate and secure installation.
• Repair and Maintenance Support: Provide support in roof repair and maintenance activities, including identifying damaged areas, removing old materials, and assisting with repairs or replacements as directed.
• Clean-Up and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly disposing of debris, packing tools and equipment, and ensuring the site is left in a tidy condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Report any potential hazards or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Equipment and Tool Maintenance: Assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the roofing team, following instructions and communicating clearly to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or roofing is preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in construction.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
